The finished pair weighs 73 grams. I’ve got about 4 grams (18 yds) left of each of the white and silver and 38 grams (170 yds) of the red. Enough for some fingerless mitts, I think.

This yarn is fantastic and the finished sock are sooooo cozy. I am definitely keeping these for myself (I had very briefly thought they might be a gift but once I put them on, it was game over for that plan!)

I bought the yarn as a kit from St-Denis Yarns during a sale for only CDN$16 (regular price: $21.90). It included 2 skeins of red and 10 grams each of the silver and white, all Boreale. The yarn is lovely to work with - soft and wooly - and the red is a gorgeous true blue-red.

I love the lace pattern and how the sl 2tog k1 psso makes little points at the top edge of the fabric. The 12-row lace pattern is extremely easy to remember, after only a couple of inches, I barely have to look at the pattern any more.

Mods: My foot circumference is 9” so I cast on for the large size but 76 sts. Pattern says this size gives a finished circumference of 7.5”, but is actually 8”, which is too loose for my liking. So after 24 rows I decreased 1 st invisibly at each edge of the st st section (dec total of 4 sts). 72 sts results in 7.5” finished circumference.
