I saw this cute sweater on my Friends Activity page and had to make it! It looks really clever and vintage. The pattern is well-written and the same stitch count and pattern is used for all three sizes -- just change the yarn weight! Written for fingering weight / 4ply (preemie), DK weight (newborn), and 3-6 months (worsted). There are also matching blanket patterns and hats/bonnets, along with another lace sweater set following the same concept.

Update: 27 Jun 2012: New photos added after seaming, steaming, and sewing on the buttons. This little sweater was fun from start to finish. So much good energy went into this and I enjoyed the process and the product. The top two new photos are most representative of the actual color. I love this yarn more every time I knit with it and I’m grateful to sspurl for choosing the perfect buttons!
