Notes

I am so pleased with how this turned out. Sivia was a great teacher and I used every one of the tips she shared, my favorite being the bindoff ~ my bind off row is always so tight no matter how many needle sizes I increase by, but the bind off she taught us in class was like a eureka moment for me! I still went up 3 needles sized (US8) but the k1, k2tog, k1, k2tog is what made all the difference ~ my Ophidian blocked beautifully!

I googled ‘Ophidian’ for the definition & it means snakelike ~ I do see garter (hehe no pun intended) snakes wriggling across my knitting now!

10-3-10 ~ Holy. Cow. Finished with only 9 yds or so of yarn leftover. That’s the closest I’ve been to running out of yarn ~ wouldn’t have been able to do another row! Posted some ‘organic’ preblocking photos & will post finished photos later when she’s dry ~ can’t wait!

9-18-10 ~ took this class from Sivia herself today ~ what a neat lady ~ highly highly recommend taking a class from her if you ever get the opportunity! you can go here & here for our blog posts about the workshop
