I don’t recall ever doing any smocking so I think this will be a fun learning experience (it was!!!)

after a little practice and you get a uniform tension on the wraps, the pattern is a breeze (and very addictive!) ~ it’s a much easier stitch than it appears to be

I didn’t modify the pattern at all ~ I did cast off with one size larger needle to get my bind off row to be the same width as my cast on row

I did buy buttons but I’m not going to put them on ~ I don’t think I’d ever wear it buttoned??
