See my Blush Moreton for notes on how to do the bodice. Note that this one does the first row of the cross stitch incorrectly. It wraps the stitch around the long dcs instead of the shorter scs.

March 31, 2013 I don’t crochet much so it took a lot of trial and error to work out what the pattern was trying to describe regarding the criss cross pattern. I ripped out countless times but it’s also because I had to revise where to put my hook in the sts (that a more advanced crocheter would know!) However, I’ve got the hang of it now and it’s looking quite pretty!

April 2, 2013 A few more inches of the skirt to go. I hope the dress isn’t too heavy for a little one. It’s looking fantastic though. The actual colour is between the last two pics; the last is a bit bright and the 2nd last is a bit dull. See stash pic for best colour representation. I’ll make it a little bit longer than the pattern states since I heard that Bendigo cotton shrinks vertically in the wash.

April 7, 2013 Just need some buttons. Otherwise, done. I probably should’ve put the buttonholes at the bottom of the diamonds instead of the top.

April 11, 2013 Will undo the straps so I can re-place the buttonholes. Probably will do that after I finish the blush Moreton.

April 19, 2013 Redid straps, all crochet done. Got some hand made buttons from the lovely Jess (HappyKnittingMum) from AppleSpice. This is going to look sooo cute!

April 20, 2013 This is so freakin’ cute. Buttons attached, finished. Didn’t have time to add the hat elastic though.
