11/11 ~ Just finished the body of the hat last night and started on the icord for the top. It’s really a pretty quick knit overall, fun to knit, and gonna be so so snuggly. Not sure about lining it. The only reason I would is if I deem the floats a problem in them getting caught up - this has long floats and I didn’t wrap all of them since there was just so many colors I was lazy in not wanting to mess with moving them around too much. We’ll see after it’s finished and blocked.
did have to dye more light blue yarn since I knit the earflaps in the round, I used more than originally accounted for.

11/2 ~ Chart 3. Really goes quickly actually. You only use 2 colors per row so it moves well with two-handed knitting.

10/28 ~ Decided to pick this back up again as it’s getting colder and need a new hat. Working on chart 2 right now.

1/1 ~ Have taken a break on this this week while waiting on 16” 0 needle. Was using two circulars (0 & 1.5) but it was knitting up too loosely that way.

12/25 ~ Spent some time late morning knitting while everyone enjoyed their gifts. Joined the earflaps and began on the hat. Joined the earflaps by knitting through both loops (like 3 needle BO) at the same time.

Started the earflaps just like a toe-up sock: I cast on 38 sts using Magic Cast On, and then knit them double-sided with one chart repeat on each needle.
