This pattern is originally made by marianneS, I got the permission to write it in English and took the liberty to write it so it fits my gauge ;-)

CO 80 sts. join in round (either on dpns or use magic loop) Do (2k, 2p)-ribbing for the entire round for approximately 20 cm (if you want to have the neck in double fabric).
Mark the 1st, 21st, 41st and 61st stitch, and start repeating the following two rows/rounds (you might have to change to circulars at some time, if you started with dpns):

1. knit
2. k1, yo, knit to marker, yo, slip marker (repeat for the entire round)

Repeat approximately 20 times or to almost desired length, make three garter ridges by repeating the following 2 rows/rounds three times:

1. knit
2. purl

BO loosely, and block to prevent the garter stitches from rolling up.

Remark: You can CO any number which can be divided by 4, so to fit the pattern to your gauge and neck, just remember to mark the appropriate stitches and the rest of the pattern will be the same.
