Notes

What a spectacular and entertaining pattern.

  • Modification (to avoid the edge from curling in too much): the edges in k1, yo, k1, yo; Central stitch in yo, k1, yo. Probably beads to add some weight.
  • I used a total of 17 stitch markers.
  • Piece weighs 107 grams, so 1 Wollmeise Sockenwolle skein would have been enough as well :-). One single skein of Sockenwolle is not enough, though.
  • ’My difficulty rating’ dropped from ‘impossible’ to ‘piece o’cake’ after placing stitch markers

Finished. Now blocking.

Will finish this - it does get easier, especially because ‘Europa’ is finished.

Put project on hold - I have to frog quite a bit. Stitch count is off, because I underestimated the pattern. I have to place stitch markers. The first stockinette part is obviously easy. The original chart is difficult to read, and it is hard to see ‘what-should-be-where’.
