Progress is being made on these finnicky socks. I’m not feeling too bad considering that they’re my first pair, but I had some issues going from the heel flap to the gusset decreases. This was also only my second attempt at picking up stitches, so I’m not sure I did it completely correctly. We will see! Hoping to finish the first sock this weekend and start on the second.

I finished the first sock!! Around three days ago. I have a lot to learn about the Kitchener stitch. Other than that, I’d say the gusset was for sure the hardest part. We’ll see if that’s true for the second time around! Feeling so proud to be halfway there (despite all my little mistakes so far!).

Socks are done! Even though they took me forever and a day, I’m glad they’re done. I made a little mistake right at the switch to the heel flap in the pattern where I forgot the “yarn over” in skyp stitch (rookie mistake). Otherwise, I am officially in love with handmade socks. Yesssss.
