Got the right gauge. Followed the pattern untill the half of a project. Then realized that upper part for me is OK, but the bottom part and sleeves are going to be way too narrow. So frogged all piece, done some maths, adjustments and re-knitted with some modifications. Without them cardigan for me would be not wearable. That’s almost all mods I’ve made:

1. Made more short rows repetitions and made them more frequent to have bigger difference between upper (shoulders) and lower (body and sleeves) parts. You can see that clearly in the 2nd picture. Now the neck is smaller and body is wider.
2. Made wider slipped stitch edge on the bottom, neck and sleeves to have tighter edges. For me edges in the pattern was too loose. Very happy with this change (9th and 10th picture).
3. Gradually added then decreased some stitches to have higher back neck (11th picture).
4. Button band knitted with smaller needles (12th picture).

It is the simple “not to worry about what to dress up today” cardi and goes well with any dress or bottom.
