Notes

Have had this in my stash for a while. I pulled it out for day one of the 2014 Tour de Fleece.

So good a fiber to get me back into spinning. Lovely, fluffy prep. Required next to no pre-drafting. Probably could have skipped it completely but it has been eons since I spun. And just running the fiber through my hands was good for the muscle memory.

Spun the singles very loosely, semi woolen. Kinda just did it on autopilot, getting back into the rhythm of spinning. And it was lovely!

I also love that the firestar in this isn’t too heavy. It is a beautiful shimmer that adds depth without being harsh on the hands. It is also super fine. So it isn’t strands of sparkle. It is a shimmer more like silk.

Lovely lovely fiber. Yum!

I was planning on letting it rest before plying it. But all my other bobbins had stuff on them. So before I could spin any more singles, I need to ply the singles.

Love the finished yarn. Bouncy and soft. DD has already claimed it for mittens. laugh We shall see… grin
