4/30/16 This has been done for a while now, but I hit a snag when I washed and blocked it. It grew a ton when I got it wet and didn’t shrink back up with air drying. I finally got around to getting it damp again and throwing it in the dryer, which worked like a charm. My daughter wears a size 4 now. This dress fits her well but still has room to grow.

Seeing as it’s made in self striping sock yarn, the eyelet border on the skirt really doesn’t show at all. The seed stitch barely shows, either. I think it looks really good in any case. I’m glad I shortened the skirt by 4” because I wouldn’t want it to be any longer than it is. Also, I would have needed another skein of yarn!

3/8/16 I wove in the ends and put shiny blue buttons on. It looks great!

3/2/16 Bound off early as I ran out of yarn!

2/29/16 I knitted the skirt to 16” instead of 20”…it was just getting really long. There’s still a border that will be several inches, as well. It looks really awesome.

2/26/16 Hit a couple of snags and had to rip it all out once. Then I made a mistake with the increases somewhere, so got that fixed. Now I’m on to the skirt so it’s smooth sailing for a while!

2/21/16 Checked gauge on US4s but got 6.5 sts/in instead of 6, so working on 5s instead.

Needs 800 yds fingering weight. Size 4-5. Needs US4 needles. Due 3/15/16.
