8/14/15 It’s actually blocking! It grew a lot when I got it wet. I’m hoping it shrinks back up! I suppose I could put it in the dryer for a little to see if that helps (it is superwash, so should be okay).

8/11/15 I wove in all the ends. Just need to block! It doesn’t need it desperately but the garter stitch edge along the brim does tend to curl under, so I’ll block it to fix that and to even out any stitches that need it.

8/10/15 Knitting is done--just need to weave in a couple of ends and give it a light blocking. The finished hat before weaving in weighs 66 gm which is 139 yds. However, I have it entered as 73 gm so that my remaining yarn will calculate right. My skein must have been a little light to start with.

8/8/15 Finished the cable panel and grafted the edges together in pattern because I rock!

8/7/15 Cast on using provisional cast on (crochet chain cast on). Knit one row before starting pattern as the pattern calls for long tail cast on.

Test knit.

Uses 250 yards (?) worsted weight.

Swatch with ECYS Husky on US 8s gave 15 sts/10 cm.
Swatch with Malabrigo Rios on US 8s gave 19 sts/10 cm.
