What a lovely pattern! I’ve wanted a longer, skinnier shawl, so this was perfect. And the color is just gorgeous, like a perfect blue summer sky.

Only thing is, now I want it to be a bit longer, so I think I’m going to add another set of repeats.

September 5th

I wanted the shawl to be longer, so I could knot it if I so wanted to. I picked up the bound off stitches (instead of unraveling the bind off) and added another set of pattern repeats. However, I did modify the pattern repeat slightly, as follows:

7 rows stockingette (including edge YOs)
row with YO around the center stitches
7 rows stockingette as above
row with YO around the center stitches
7 rows stockingette as above

then:
yo k2tog, yo until center stitch, yo, ssk, yo
next row purl

repeat these two rows FIVE times, and instead of purling the last row, p2tog bindoff.

Now it’s the perfect length for me!
