I originally planned to knit this for my cousin’s Indian wedding, as a wedding gift. Since red is an auspicious color, I thought a red shawl would be a perfect gift. But, I never managed to knit more than a bit on the project. There was just too much other stuff going on. Then I planned to knit the shawl for myself, to wear to a wedding. However, I found a pattern I like better, so this is headed to the frog pound.
