Granatapfel = pomegranate = granada

What a fun and gorgeous pattern. I thought about adding another repeat of the Oriel pattern but I didn’t want to risk running out of yarn. But it would be easy to modify to add extra Oriel chart repeats. Oh, and I didn’t feel the picot bind off so I did the yo bindoff instead. I like the cleaner look of the edge. I steamblocked the shawl - instant gratification compared to wet-blocking.

I love how the pattern shows of the deep pomegranate color. A perfect shawl for summer evenings! My aunt ended up with the shawl - I wanted to make her a Pompa shawl (Knitspot pattern) as a gift, but I just don’t have any time to knit right now, so this shawl has been rehomed, and I’ll knit the Pompa shawl for me.
