Matthias, Marius’s dad had a small stuffed bear as a kid that he just loved. And now that Marius has arrived, it is just fitting that he receive his own bear as a faithful companion. It’s the perfect opportunity to knit up one of Ysolda’s lovely patterns.

This was a fast and easy knit - I would’ve finished this much faster if it wasn’t for interruptions. The yarn was a bit splitty, which made picking up stitches a little difficult, but it’s wonderfully soft and machine-washable, perfect for a kids toy. I used a lot more stuffing than I thought I’d need, but it’s so much easier to stuff as you go, instead of having to seam the project at the end. Now I’ll just have to find a good reason to knit up another Otto, or an Elijah, or a Sophie…
