Swatched for gauge, and the size 7 needles seem to be the right size for me. Still I’d rather have straight sleeves, so I’m going to cast on 76 stitches and knit those in stockingette. I’ve tried to knit the sleeve with 2 circular needles, but the needles are just to heavy for the yarn and create laddering. Magic loop works, although I still had some laddering. I’ve finally given in and ordered some 12’’ needles (Hiya Hiya), and I’m really happy with them. No laddering, and it’s just so much easier than the other methods!

This is really a lovely pattern, even though the endless stockingette in lace weight is killer - I had to work on some fingering and worsted weight projects to get some ‘instant gratification.’ And I used up every little bit, so the back is a bit longer than the pattern. One of the pictures shows just how little is left.

But it’s done and gorgeous, and the color is just perfect. I very lightly steam blocked it, to remove the curl from the sleeves and the bottom edges. My Mom loves it - it’s her mother’s day present. Plus it’s perfect for summer!
