After the garter section I divided my stitches as following:

(| = marker, || = central marker) RS facing:

5sts |162 sts | 1 st || 1 st | 162 sts | 4 sts + markers in between every 18 sts repeat of the lace chart

I kept increasing in all RS rows as following:

K2, kfb, kfb, k to marker, knit 18 sts repeat 9 times, knit to 1 sts before central marker, kfb, Slide central marker, kfb, k to marker, knit 18 sts repeat 9 times, knit to 5 sts left, kfb, kfb, k3

Keep in mind to knit all the parts outside the lace pattern, also in purl rows!
