So barely following the pattern. I didn’t have a fingering weight yarn I wanted to use, but the Mushishi seemed almost perfect. So I’m using larger needles and doing 25 st squares.

Retrospectively, 25 sts is a little smaller than I needed to go if I wanted to keep the squares of a similar size. But since this is modular, it doesn’t really matter.

Each row of 6 squares takes just at 20g. I’m thinking I’ll need 5 strips so each placemat will take 100g. This could be problematic.

Two placemats are done (only one has been blocked) and I’m 1/5th of the way through the third. Which will be my halfway point. That’s kinda awesome.

Fourth one done! This is not appropriate knitting for playoff hockey however. It goes much faster when I’m watching movies or tv shows.

All six placemats are done! Now I need to block them.

626g for all 6 placemats (not including trimmed ends), 98g leftover.
