Little Xavier grew out of his blueberry hat, and I’ve had a request for a new hat, but this time with a matching one for mom, and this time, in black and white!

10/3/10 - Adult hat almost finished. Emily’s head is 23”. Cast on 100. Knit __ inches in white until I started the black. Added 2 rows of plain stockinette for 3 total rows of plain knitting after the zigzag color change section. Counted in groups of 10, so 10 points and leafy bits. That also increases the number of decrease rows and makes the hat a little longer. I probably didn’t need to add the 2 black rows, but too late now! At the crown, just need to do i-cord and bind off.

Toddler hat - Cast on 72? CHECK THIS. have 6 or 7 rows done and had switched to the adult hat since it’s bigger.

10/12/10 - Adult hat finished and given to recipient. Was halfway done with toddler hat and suddenly realized it’s not a tube, it’s a mobius strip. Not going to turn into a hat. I need to rip out and start over. Oops!
10/17/10 - cast on 72 stitches for toddler hat, knitting away so I can put this in the mail before November 1.
11/6 - Um, not finished with the toddler hat. Procrastination…
11/14/10 - Finished! Will hit the mail Tuesday.
