Notes

Complete disaster :(. I’ve spent so much time and energy on this project and its all wasted, I’d say I’ve easily lost 6 hours plus and I didn’t even get that far in!

I am frogging this project and I doubt I’ll even try it again as its a waste of yarn, especially as I was working with such beautiful yarn too.

So why did it go wrong? Firstly I did the band in the suggested hook size and it was way too small. I tried a 4mm instead using the same yarn and this time it looked more hopeful. However as I progressed to the rows above the band that is where it got very frustrating at times. Often I didn’t feel the instructions were clear and a stitch count at each end of row would of helped. Annoyingly I wasn’t that far from finishing my first one, I decided to put it on to try for size. I couldn’t believe it…. not again!!! It was too tight, especially around the thumb hole around. It was by this point I had wasted beautiful yarn, over 6 hours of my time and energy that I decided enough was enough!!!

You might be thinking why all that time to get where I did? Well the instructions I found weren’t as easy to follow, it meant I ended up doing the band section several times (in both hook sizes) just to get it right. This is where I wasted a lot of my time….. and then for it to all go wrong on the next section. Ugh so unhappy!

I’d like to think I’m fairly good crochet wise and also I do not have big hands or wrists. So I’m annoyed that it was so hard to get this pattern to fit me. I’m very disappointed :( and I’ve made quite a few wrist warmers and never had these problems.

I used a total of 12g (this is what I did weighed), so actually given the cutting off of some I’d probably say a bit more wastage than that. It will be hard to reuse given the design of these gloves so its annoying its basically all been wasted!

I have 46g left of the eco baby prints and 41g left of the eco baby yarn.
