Notes

FINAL NOTES: I like it so much better WITHOUT the belt.
I got it to stretch out fairly well during blocking! My first time trying applied I-cord---- it was SO fun!

I did the Meg Swanson SSK with a three stitch applied I-cord. It turned out beautifully!

Antique 1920’s Pattern---

This is knitting up pretty quickly, despite being made of sportweight…. the borders are double stranded, and the shaping is done by simply changing needle size as you move up. I love that this is made all in one piece! There will be some finishing techniques to do once all is said and done, but an easy pattern, once you figure out how to reverse the lace and decipher the 1920’s terminology.
I.e. “ribs” = ridges, which took the picture to help me figure out.

Knit for a few days, and already 1/2 way done. Just bound off the stitches for the neck.

March 2nd: This sucker is going to need some extreme blocking. It looks like a hot puckered mess of a child’s sweater right now, and I’m a little nervous about getting it to block to the right proportions.

March 5: Finished with the body and sleeves! It’s wet blocking now, to stretch out the lace. To do yet: Knit the collar, apply I-cord to the collar, knit cuffs, and make I-cord belt.
