FINAL NOTES:
This was the most difficult project to finish, EVER. Not because it was difficult to actually knit, but because it was the most brain-numbingly boring knit ever, and the fact that took A MONTH of solid knitting to finish. It was knit for a customer, so I had to use a color of yarn that was brain-itchingly boring. (Although the yarn itself was fabulous.) The fact that I finished it in time for the Ravellenic Games is about the ONLY thing that I am happy about.

The belt had no real pattern--- the pattern from the 1920’s was idiotically written, at best. By the time I got to it, I started to hope that the customer might not notice if NO belt was included at all. But I basically made up a pattern that worked, and made fabric covered buttons to close the damn thing and finish this project. I have tons of leftover yarn, but I hope to never have to touch it again.

All this may sound harsh. I may come to really appreciate the beautiful simplicity of it someday. But today, I hate the guts of this sweater. It turned out gorgeous, but I hate it nonetheless.

Feb 21st: I’m hoping I’ll read this later and be able to laugh. I am officially at the stage of HATING this sweater. It’s beautiful, I’ve been meticulous, and the end result is going to be amazing. BUT. By the time I start the second sleeve of ANY sweater, I want to stab myself in the eye with my DPN’s. Knit for about 14 hours yesterday, and I still have the last sleeve to finish, along with the pockets, scarf fringe, and belt with buttons. insert swear words here

Feb 20th: Finished the first sleeve, and I will NOT sleep until the second is done. At this point, I’m OVER this garter stitch monster!!!

Feb 19th: Finished the “scarf” collar, and started the first sleeve--- which is INTERMINABLY boring. And taking forever.

Feb 12th: Finished the left front!!!!!!!!!!!! The enormity of garter stitch was mind numbing! Now to start that scarf, then the sleeves, pocket and belt. There IS light at the end of the tunnel, but it’s still away off.

Feb 9th: Finished right front and sewed that side up! :)

Feb 8th: Miles and miles and MILES of garter stitch. Ugh. Almost finished with right side.

Going to finish for the Ravellenic Games---- at time of opening ceremony-- back and left shoulder completed, about 30% of the knitting.
