Notes

After reading the comments on the pattern, for the second sleeve, instead of starting on the purl side and working 27 additional rows, I started on the knit side and worked 26 rows altogether, so it matched the first sleeve.

I was afraid the edging would pucker, so I picked up one stitch for every row on the fronts and two stitches for every stitch on the neck. It worked out to be 196 stitches. So that I would begin and end the edging with k2 on both sides, on the first row after picking up, I purled two together for the first and last stitches - 194 stitches altogether. In other words, p2tog, p1, k2, p2, repeat from, p1, p2tog on the wrong side.

Sleeves are plenty long but the body seems short. It is okay for now, but I may add some length in the future, to extend its wearability.

Dec. 31, 2012 - My daughter requested an extra button, which meant an extra button hole, and the next thing I knew, I was reknitting not only the button bands but adding ribbing to the bottom, to lengthen the sweater. Not real happy with the reverse stockinette corners but nothing else was working for me.
