I have knitted this pattern 4 times now. The error in the pattern is easily spotted and rectified.

I always have trouble blocking it. I wet block over a plate which gives it a true beret shape but I prefer Rachel Iufer’s shape. I don’t know how to block it like that.

I used the wrong yarn and needle size :-(

I had only 12ply in the desired colour yet I used 3.75mm needles! Yeah, I know, what was I thinking?! Hopefully Mum will be able to get some wear out of it, even if it is as a bed cap on cold winter nights!!
