Cast on 6 of the white yarn. After about 2 ft, alternate 2 red rows, 3 white rows for 6 stripes - then 3 red rows, 3 white rows for 6 stripes - and then 3 red rows, 2 white rows for 6 stripes. Then finish it with 2ft of red.
