First ball of Color A lasted through Ridge 5 (Second repeat of Ridge 1-3 part of the pattern), but it felt like yarn chicken on the rest row. For safety’s sake, I would probably have changed to a new skein at Ridge 3.

Turns out I misread the pattern. Badly. Skipped an entire repeat in the first section. I had to rip back. A lot. Thirty rows. Realized it after I finished the first 15 ridge sections.
Not. Happy.

After taking the project out of time-out, I forgot to to the fbf … so I was really, really short at the end of the first section … off by like ten stitches. I did a k, kfb, k, kfb, for a bit to make up for it. This was when I realized that I had only been doing a kfb, not a kfbf. I’d already had to re-do this section once, so …. it’s going to be wonky.
I give up. This project is not going well. I’m accepting the fuck-ups and moving on.

Color A - Played yarn chicken because I messed up the pattern before the striped section and used more yarn. I did, however, win the yarn chicken game, but it was stressful and I kept dreading that I wouldn’t have enough yarn to make the stripes as written.
I do not recommend swatching with Color A because there was barely enough for me to finish the striped section through ridge 32 in Color A.

Almost two years later … it’s DONE. Washed and blocked.
This project lived in timeout a lot because the number of stitches and my personal errors/mistakes and the yarn chicken …. I realized it was not a fun project any more.
Ran into some frustrations with the kit - mainly that the blue almost ran out (less than a foot left).
The Color A and Color C use most of the yarn, so if you’re going to swatch, then use Color B. Otherwise, you’ll play yarn chicken. In fact, with the Craftsy kit, if I had been a good knitter and swatched, I wouldn’t have had enough yarn to finish.
The i-cord bindoff is so easy and elegant. I think I have a new way to finish off sweaters! It’s so pretty.
The final project is HUGE. It takes up more than half a queen-sized bed.
I learned I am not really a shawl person. I have one more shawl kit, but I think I will not tackle that for awhile.
