Very straightforward pattern. I went down a needle size because I couldn’t find my US 8s after my move and was tired of going through boxes and bins trying to organize my knitting stuff.

Tip - keep even tension and try to do your purls at the same point on the needles to ensure the purls for the honeycomb pattern are even length.

Blocking makes a world of difference! It was pretty tight for a double looped scarf until it was blocked.

The Artyarns Vicenza looked gorgeous, but it did like to split, so you have to be careful with your stitches. All in all, I say it’s a decent substitution.

I did Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off. It made it very different from the German Twisted Cast-On. I’m not 100 percent happy with how the top looks different than the bottom, but I wanted to honor the directions of “loosely bind off,” since I’m a ridiculously tight knitter.
