After doing 4 gauge swatches over the past 2 days, I’ve finally gotten as close to gauge as I’m going to get! Now I can finally start my first attempt at doing socks 2-at-a-time!

4/16/13: I haven’t had too much time to devote to these but I’m loving doing 2AAT so far! I’m loving the mix of the two patterns together.

7/26/13: I picked these up for the first time last night since having my son 6 weeks ago. I’ve come to realize that in my haste to get these done, I must have misread the directions because I just finished the heel of the second sock and each one has a different amount of stitches. Now I have to figure out which is correct and how to rip out the wrong one. Ugh, setbacks! :(

I ripped back and corrected both heels and did a 4” leg. The recipient LOVED them! Totally worth the time and effort!

IMHO, this pair was one of my favorite pairs of socks to knit! The pattern is intricate but easy and easy to memorize. It did take a little longer to knit because of the pattern stitches but is well worth it. The combination of the two stitch patterns was a tad difficult to figure out at first, but once you get through a few rows, it’s pretty simple. :-) I’m over the moon about these and may just knit a pair for myself!
