Took a while to get the hang of the slst, ch 1 stitch pattern, but found the construction very clever. Short rows work well in slip stitch and the thumb and wrist fit very comfortably.

Using slightly finer yarn, but number of rows was fine - just added two short rows on either side of the thumb. Did add a few more stitches to the length.
