They didn’t have a wheat colored sock yarn :(
But gray will look lovely too, just less like corn.

I just kept going and going with the foot and accidentally made it too long! I modified the gusset and it fits perfect.

The pattern for the heel flap is only provided for the small size. I didn’t realize this until I had already started it and so I spent the rest of the heel flap improvising to correct for it (because I am making medium). It turned out just fine. I rewrote the heel flap portion for the second socks.

I definitely didn’t do the picot cuff correctly (not sure I understand the pattern for it) but I think I like mine even better! It’s a little more subtle.
