I LOVE sock yarn but sometimes, well the majority of times I don’t want to knit socks with pretty (& expensive) sock yarn, so that gave me the idea to come up with a dress pattern for my baby girl that ‘LET THE YARN DO THE TALKING’ - no fancy stitches, just letting the self-striping sock yarn be the feature of the dress.

This dress, the pattern I made up myself it has a slight flare at the knees, knit from the top down in the round.

..and yes, although it looks like two balls of wool, it was only 1 ball of wool that gave it this wonderful effect, I got the wool from here….

I’m thinking of drafting up a pattern for others to make - do you think other people may like it too?
