This… is a little bit special. I participated in a fandom event where people write long stories and others sign up to illustrate the stories for them in whatever way inspires them. I chose a great story with a great trans character called Spencer.

It’s a very touching story and I decided to try and make a doll to represent Spencer in the beautiful princess/prom dress she wears at one point. I had a blast making this doll. The original pattern is awesome and easy and proved great as a base for this. I then created the up-swept chignon, the cream-colored dress, the shoes, etc. The little blue ring is actually an engagement ring, also inspired by a scene in the story.

I fell in love with the story and the character and I tried to pour all that love into making the doll, which I think manages to show a little bit? At any rate, I loved making this doll so much that I fully intend to make more. :-)
