This yarn has subtle glittery highlights and since there was a lot of it in stash, used it for a holiday version to wear for Christmas. The yarn was thinner so made Large size to achieve something between Medium & Large for myself. Perfect fit!

Yes, the 10 rows of seed st on 170+ sts to start is daunting but after that the lace pattern speeds along. Even though it was a lot of knitting (complicated by a dropped stitch/hole partway through, requiring some reknitting) the vest turned out just right for me.

Made the belt but may wear it unbelted as shown -- comfortable!
