Notes

This is the first year of Tour de Fleece in which I’ll be completely immersed in deadline writing (throughout) while trying to spin.

I am posting these lovelies as my motivation, and also so that I won’t have to make any decisions while hopped up on stress.

  1. The Organic Polwarth TWF will be a spiral ply of some form (possibly entailing a core spin, if I feel like taking the time).has morphed into a 3-ply using Lynn’s mSpinner. I just couldn’t pass up spinning the organic Polwarth in the way I love most, though now I am thinking of doing a crepe. (Started on Stage III using the mS) Completed on Day 11 (wowza!)

  2. Kate Larson’s spectacular locks were a gift for my recent birthday. I’d like to tail spin them, probably with gold auto wrap. Either one of the above will be for wrapping my handspun packages as they go out. (Completed Stages I-II.)

  3. and 4. are for the same project, a long-term knit for a sick friend. I may not get to them this TdF but have included them depending on my mood. They need to end up as a 2-ply worsted weight for their intended project. Most likely, I’ll start my combo spin, below, instead.

  4. (See above) (Spun the singles on my Traddy, which allows for ergonomic seating and alternating of my legs with the ST, also on Stage I. Plied on Stage II.. Holy hell, is this ever ugly. Also, this is why I’m not a dyer. The Polwarth spun up nicely and plied perfectly going from the Traddy to the SK.)

  5. In addition to the links above, I would like to get started on my PHG combo spin (my third combo spin), which I couldn’t figure out how to link any other way but so: LINK This is perfect for when I have the urge to just spin for a default 2-ply. Day 11: completed first bobbin

  6. In case I find myself in a time warp, an alternate universe or just craving a quickie TWF spin, I have Whispering Painting in my wee bin as well.

STOP IT, self. Just stop.
