CO 20 sts (JMCO).
Incr on every 2nd row to 52 sts, knit 2 rounds, flutterby-pattern.
First I did a regular wrap-and-turn heel, but then I thought of doing a boomerang heel - I’ve never done that before, but heard so much good about it. So I frogged the one heel I knitted again, and have now made boomerang heels instead. They are lovely! It’s definitely going to be my favorite heel from now on :o)
Grew a bit tired of the symmetric butterfly pattern, so ended with making some random butterflies on the cuff, and started the cuff ribbing earlier on some places, creating a smoother transition to the ribbing.
Used a tubular bind off to make the edge stretchy.
These socks are HOT!
I’ve only worn them for a couple of minutes, but my feet are completely warm and cozy :o) - Favorite winter socks are done!
First try:
Using Judy's magic cast on, CO 20 sts (2x10); Incr on every row to 40sts, on every 2nd row to 56 sts.
Frogged again. Socks too big, need to CO less sts..
Previous notes:
On WWKIP-day, I cast on.. After looking at the pattern and the yarn and swatching and so much wanting to start!
Couldn't resist anymore, and I find WWKIP-day very appropriate :oD
Knitting toe-up, using Judy's magic cast-on and knitting the lace pattern upside down (swatched to try out whether I could just start at the opposite side of the chart, but that looks awful!).
Frogged the whole thing. The lace part didn't look good with this yarn.
