I needed a cozy for that cup that kept being too hot to touch! And at the same time a good opportunity to try that thing I’ve been wanting to do for ages, but really found a bit vulgar: knitting cables in contrasting colors.

Done! This was a very fun knit - although I didn’t really keep the tension I should due to the first time cabling while stranding.. I’m very satisfied with the result though. Sewed on beaks, now I only need to get hold of some eyes to sew on. AND I need to get hold of a cup to put it around - the ones it’s made for are in Dubai..

Finally got to pick up some eyes at the local craft store and sewed them on. I think it looks neat!
Getting more dissatisfied with the tension of the stranded bits, though. Will need to make another one, or more, so I can practice ;o)
With a lack of the right kind of cup I have used something else the same size. Just so you can get the picture.
