Notes

My winter break knitting time is about to come to an end, so here’s something I can knit a few rounds on and then put it aside for a week without getting lost.

February 7-23, 2014: Finished the body of the sock and turned both heels during the Sochi Olympics. Heels are what I’ve been calling Eye of Partridge but apparently are some half-linen stitch thing I made up a few socks ago.

March 3, 2014: Snow day! Just started the seemingly-endless leg ribbing.

July 20, 2014: Off the needles & blocking! Pictures when there’s good light. Used Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off, as it looked like it would take less time than my usual 4-stitch picot bind off. (The picot always ends up stretched and eventually not even picot-like anyway.)

The yarn: Soft, yet “sticky” enough for easy knitting. It didn’t pill up during the many months in my project bag! It also didn’t release much excess dye during blocking-- very impressed!

The pattern: I have it memorized now. If you are wondering if you can really wrangle two socks at once, try this pattern! It’s a great tutorial.
