I put the beads in the C pattern, as shown in the above chart. The beads are not pre-thread, they are thread on the stitch before knitting it.
Superfloss can be used to thread the bead on the stitch, like in this video : threading-beads-with-superfloss (thanks to angelmum3 for the link) or you can use a hook, like I did.
I prefer using a hook because it’s faster, but it’s may be a bit tricky to thread the bead without separating the plies of the yarn if it’s a 4-ply yarn like this one. (For beads in size 8, I use a 0.75mm hook.) With a thiner yarn, like a 2-ply lace yarn, it’s easier to thread the bead without separating the plies.
