TIP for better yarn overs:

I learned this tip when knitting the Chevron Scarf. In this pattern, a yarn over is purled on the WS (as it is generally done), but on the next row (so on the RS), you knit this stitch through the back loop.
See on the last picture of this project a swatch I made for Frillibet.
On the right side I used the usual way to knit the stitches on the yarn overs, and on he left side I knitted these stitches in the back loop. In this picture, see examples of stitches knitted in the back loop are at the end of the blue arrows. The red circles show that stitches knitted “normally” make another little hole close to the yarn over.
