I bought this specifically for the mousey hat. It turned out pretty cute and I think that the color could be for a boy or a girl. Although I don’t know if you would want to put a boy in a mouse hat. That is debatable. But I had tried to use some stash yarn of equal weight and it was a disaster. It would only fit a doll. So spend the money and use the yarn called for.
