I need a hat! Quickly as the weather has suddenly turned!
Researched Magic Loop.
Uughh, reach for another chocolate chip cookie, the Addi clicks have a maddening glitch in the join which is snagging my yarn with every transition. I have finally got three rows done after much frustration and frogging.
The Gilt colourway is divine! What luck.

Ok, so I get to the paert where you knit the live stitches together with the cast on edge, to make a band, nifty! BUT…I ended up with a twisty ill-aligned band which pooled at the end.
I have taken the advice of a fellow Raveler and will mark every 10th stitch with a clipping stitch marker. Hopefully that will work.
I also read the pattern as picking up the back stitch before the live stitch, but after reading forum posts , it seems everyone interprets it at the other way round!

As you can see from the first photo, I have joined the seams for the band together with clip-style stitch markers, and then for each small section, I have transferred the back stitches from the cast on edge onto a double pointed needle. Seems to be working a treat.

well whaddyaknow it fits everyone in the family from ages 1 to 41!!
Have to change the name of the hat to Family Wurm!
Couldn’t convince husband dear to wear it…may just live on my own head for a while, but I have decided it is still a bit too beanie for me…and I need a cloche…
Ended up doing 9 purl ridges in total.
I love the Gilt colourway.
Pattern is really cute and quick.
