Did a swatch for gauge and to practise ribbing and cables. Very close to gauge with 4mm, so size 36 it is! Love the colour and it’s so nice to work with, just slightly slippery but getting used to it.

Great pattern to follow, I’ve knitted the main part of the body and just split for armholes. Longer circular needles would be better, the ones I have are only just long enough (using two circs). Also loving the yarn. Made a few mistakes, stitch count has been out by a stitch or two, equating to missed increases or decreases which I’ve sorted a few rows later. Also reaslised on the third repeat I’d been doing the cable cross on row 19 the wrong way! So wrong on the swatch and 16 times on the body! After that doing it correctly, with the intention of oversewing later, but it’s actually barely visible so will probably leave it as it is.

Spotted another more obvious cable error near the shoulder. Never mind! Also a small error on sleeve when turned too early without wrapping.

Knitted first sleeve as per pattern until last decrease but it’s too long even without ribbing. Therefore have ripped back 10 rows and will do last decrease on the cable dec row
