2011_12_2 Right on gauge with a size 8 needle. Yay! I c/o using the backwards loop cast on. I don’t like how the join looks after completing the v-notch at the top. I might rip it out. I’m going to sleep on it and take a look at it in the morning.

2011_12_4 After sleeping on it, the join looks fine. And as I progress with the project, it really does look fine :) I knitted about 4” of ribbing before beginning the transition to the stockinette and the cables. Because I still have to increase along the raglan seam and count rows for the cables, I searched for iPhone apps that would help me keep row counts. I ended up going with jKnit, but that’ll be a separate blog post once I figure it out. ANYWAY….

2011_12_7 So… I ended up at Fancy Tiger’s Knitting Help Night. The join where I’ve been striping the yarn looks like cuh-rap. So I frogged back to the initial join (which was A LOT of knitting) and started over. Sheesh.

2011_12_23 Moving right along. I’m down to increasing towards the hips. Its looking really good so far :)
