2012_11_23 These are offered as a class at Fancy Tiger, but I can’t make it work with my schedule. And I really want to make a few pairs of these slippers. I’ve never knitted thrums before - thank goodness for YouTube. Cast on today! I’m using this bright orange 100% merino roving for the thrums.

2012_11_24 I ended up starting over after getting halfway through the first slipper. The thrums were looking too big, and I didn’t want JJ’s feet to get too hot.

The look and feel great and JJ loves the colors (and the Gators won today too!). They are a bit big right now, so I’ll have to try and tighten them up. really should have made a medium….

The pattern is well drafted and easy to follow. I ended up knitting the thrums through the back on the next row, and the pattern didn’t say to do that. One of the thrum tutorials I read said that they’d be more secure that way.
