May 21 - finished the knitting this morning. The finished size (unblocked) is 85” x 17”; I’m not sure how to block something this size!

May 15 - turned the corner today and am now on the decrease side, it is going to be so lovely and warm. Have finally memorised/understood how the lace edge pattern and the increase/decrease pattern work together.

May 9 - making slow but steady progress, so far I have not been able to memorise the pattern progression, so keep needing to refer to the printout. Nonetheless, I’m really liking how it looks so far

May 4 - had to begin another knitted shawl; I was inspired by Elfreda’s project. This seems to be a variation on the baktus shawl, with a simple lace edging added. I’m liking it as it is not too “lacey” but adds a simple dogtoothed edge…

The yarn is salvaged from a thrifted sweater, and looks very much like nicely worn denim. This will be a good addition to the wardrobe of shawls, and if the weather stays so cold an damp, it will be very welcome
