My row gauge is a lot different then the pattern describes; 30 rows in stead of 36-40 so I’m modifying the pattern a bit while knitting.
I’m using a washable woolen lace yarn. Home dyed because it only comes in ‘underwear’ colours ;-) The actual colour is best represented in the photo of the skiens.
9/4 I did the waist decreases every 6 rows in stead of 8. That did the trick and now the length of the garment is as desribed in the pattern.
1/5 Made the armholes and I’m know knitting the back. Kept the armhole decreases as described in the pattern. Now just mindless back-and-forth knitting ‘till I reach the neck.
31/5 I did the tucks as discribed, the only change being that I did 6 rows in between instead of 8.
22/6 The body is blocking. I used 135 grams of wool untill now.
I did the armhole decreases at the fronts as described. I did the neck shape decreases alternatingly every 2nd and every 4th row.
30/6 First sleeve is attached to the body. Started the 4th ball of yarn halfway the first sleeve. I’m doing the first series of sleeve decreases every 5th row and the second series every 6th row. It looks like it’s going to work that way. Only about 10 rows to go on the first sleeve!
11/7 Finished! And it fits perfectly! It’s blocking now, for the sleeves, so pictures tomorow.
Now I hope the weather will cool down a bit so I might be able to wear it.
