2/17/14: Finished frogging. Still need to take a picture of the frogged yarn. Had to do it all in one sitting (not counting meal/bathroom breaks) because I felt so sad the whole time I was frogging that I was afraid that I wouldn’t go back to it if I stopped. I will have to figure out something really special to do with these yarns. The frogging itself went well and I was able to reclaim all of the yarn except the very first row, which completely refused to unravel and now looks like a very long crochet chain.

1/17/14: Planning to frog this as part of the 2014 Ravellenics. Too many issues with running out of yarn. Also, after getting the opportunity to try on a few different Swirls, I’ve learned that Going Green is not the best shape for me, so this is not worth finishing as is. I love how these different yarns look together, so hopefully the frogging will go well and I will be able to repurpose them into something wonderful.

5/30/13 I finished the other Swirl and loved it, but now I have to make one out of mink before I come back to this one. (I’m also procrastinating because I’m going to run out of yarn on this one again sooner rather than later and I’ve been more in the mood for knitting than spinning these days.)

4/24/13 Still napping. I had to frog the merino/yak/silk Swirl, but started a Forest Fiesta in Kathmandu Aran that is about 60% done. I will finish that one first so I can see how to put an unmodified Swirl together before I continue with this precious handspun Swirl.

2/23/13 Finished making additional yarn a few days ago and started working on the flat portion, but this is now taking a short “nap” while I work on the merino/yak/silk Swirl.

2/16/13 On “welt” 22--bound off the collar. Ran out of one of the colors. Things are on hold for a little bit while I dye and spin more.

1/20/13 Attempting a Swirl from my handspun. I am using yarns of various colors, but chose the Going Green pattern for the dolman sleeves. Also creating a garter stitch fabric rather than the pronounced ridges. Still counting in “welts” to properly follow the pattern by using split ring markers to mark where each welt ends. Hopefully it all works out :).
