4/5/14: Frogged.

3/4/14: Will be frogging this. Major sizing issues with the armholes extending nearly to my waist (maybe I should have read Amy Herzog’s Knit to Flatter before attempting this pattern??) I have more success designing for myself, so I will use this very pretty yarn in my own pattern instead.

1/18/14: Realized I can’t use this for the ESK Q1 challenge because I want to use non-ESK yarn for the bottom and trim. Oh well, I have until the end of March to do something else.

1/15/14: Had to frog last week because I started using the instructions for the wrong size partway through and didn’t catch it until I had finished the back to the armhole and done part of the right front panel. Restarted and now have finished all the armhole shaping, back and front, and joined the pieces. Approx. one more inch of knitting and then I can start the waist shaping. The construction is interesting, though I’m not completely excited about how the pattern is written. Instead of telling you what to do on each row, it provides instructions for neck shaping and then separately provides instructions for armhole shaping. Then it tells you to do it all simultaneously. It’s a bit like juggling, I assume (I’ve never actually been successful at juggling.) But it is coming together, so hopefully I’ll like the finished cardigan. Really liking how the Nebula Tosh is knitting up.
